Stratford Rail Connections and Local Context

Stratford mainline station is published by National Rail at ( SRA ) Stratford station, Station Street, Stratford, Greater London, E15 1AZ. The station guide identifies Elizabeth line as the station manager. Its rail code is SRA. These details identify the rail destination; they do not identify a legal roadside stopping place or confirm a particular vehicle’s availability.

National Rail lists Stratford (London) on Station Street, E15 1AZ. Stratford International is a different station with a different address. This distinction matters when a cab meets a rail arrival: the word “International” should never be added or removed simply because the two names sound similar.

For a connection with the Underground, TfL separately identifies Stratford Underground Station, with Central, Jubilee line services. That published transport reference helps you distinguish the arriving service from the road collection itself. Check current service and access information before choosing a rail alternative; it does not establish a taxi rank or a suitable car meeting point.

Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

The Olympic Park's official travel guidance distinguishes Stratford and Stratford International as separate station approaches to the wider park.

A park venue still needs its own entrance instructions after the rail connection is chosen. For a sporting event or cultural visit, keep the exact venue from the ticket, then decide where the group will finish and how it will reach the road. A station near one part of the outing should not become the automatic return pickup after everyone has moved across the park.

Planning a Taxi or Minicab Collection

Use Stratford station rather than Stratford International if that is the name on your rail ticket. For shopping, a hotel or an event in the wider Stratford area, give the venue entrance rather than relying on either rail station name. If a return journey begins after an event, confirm the event’s current road-access arrangements with the venue and operator.

Give the operator your train arrival information, passenger count and luggage before discussing a suitable car. Confirm how you will contact one another after leaving the platform. If the planned cab meeting point changes, update the address explicitly rather than assuming the operator can infer your new position from the original rail request.

Airport Transfers from Stratford

For an airport-transfer enquiry, pair Stratford Station with the exact airport and terminal, date and London-time pickup. Include the onward flight details when relevant, and ask for the full proposed price and waiting arrangements before accepting a booking. A train arrival time is not automatically a ready-to-leave time: allow for reaching the agreed car meeting place with everybody’s bags.

Local Taxi & Minicab Questions

Is Stratford International Another Name for Stratford Station?

No. National Rail gives them separate records and addresses. Use Stratford (London) when that is the station on your rail ticket, and specify International only when appropriate.

Which Published Rail Code Identifies Stratford?

National Rail identifies the station as SRA. The published address is ( SRA ) Stratford station, Station Street, Stratford, Greater London, E15 1AZ. These details help avoid confusion with another station or a nearby building, but the operator still needs to confirm the actual permitted meeting place.

Does an Olympic Park Visit Always Use Stratford Station As the Cab Address?

No. Use the actual venue and its current entrance guidance, or a deliberately agreed station meeting. Stratford International remains a different rail destination from Stratford.
